Definitely will use these at my wedding September 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The music on these CDs is exactly what I had in mind. The beautiful music will fill the high celing of the church and everyone will enjoy it. The pieces are well done and sound wonderful. I love them!
Good product August 30, 2008 This was a well thoughtout group of wedding music and the arrangements and performances were excelent!!
Re-living my wedding music . . . ? Priceless! January 4, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Listening to the Lumiere String Quartet's "Classical Wedding Music," I was alternately squealing with delight ("this was played at MY wedding!") and shedding tears of joy ("this was played at MY wedding!"). Lumiere has done a masterful job of translating these classic pieces to the quartet form. The sound is rich and full. Yes, it works if you're listening for wedding music, but what makes the CD so delightful is that it serves beautifully as chamber music . . . even outside the wedding context. There's something for everyone here -- from the sweet and delicate "Air from Suite No. 3" to the triumphant and majestic "Trumpet Voluntary/Prince of Denmark March." A treat to listen to, whether you're getting married, got married, or have no intention of getting married and just like fine music expertly played!
Practical and Beautiful December 22, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a truly practical collection of music you can actually use at your wedding. Because it involves original works and arrangements for a stribg quartet, you can think of having live music at your wedding. (There is always a string quartet -- pro or amateur - in the neighborhood that would be delighted to play these wonderful melodies. Worse case: the record sound is great and you can play the CD for a minimum ceremony and still feel you've done the right thing!
